Surely you jest, good sir!

Two weeks without a blog post? This will not stand!
In the interim, I’ve travelled to and from the fine city of Melbourne, whereupon I dined on many a fine cuisine, and supped upon many a fine snifter of firewater. I also spent some amazing times with mine chums and families. Kindly observe myself and the missus, Melbourne-side, wearing our finest spats and glad rags:

I’ve been working on a few logos, some real, some imaginary. Here’s one of the latter:

I guess it’s for a beer. Padre Pio has been one of my favourite figures of piety ever since I realised he bore a striking resemblance to one Obi-Wan Kenobi. I once had a web-page dedicated to the similarities between the two (no foolin’), but alas, GeoCities had it deleted due to lack of views.
And if you head on over to The Krankiboy Khronicles, you’ll find a new logo I did for an old chum in San Francisco. He also takes some great photos!
Here are some sketches I did of hipster girls:

I think that’s it for now. I’ll try and keep the posts more regular!
Salut!
Link & Image o’ the Week for 16/08/09
Aug0
Hi reader! I’m writing to you from wintry Melbourne, Australia. I flew down from Darwin a few days ago for an extended visit to my home town.
We have a new Link o’ the Week over at Shiggy.com.au! This week’s lucky recipient is illustrator Phil McAndrew who has a smashing blog called the Marvellous Mustache Factory! Phil’s wonderful art is full of hilariously grotesque characters and charming facial hairs. He also makes comics, which you can find here. I’ve been in love with Phil’s inky linework and off-kilter sense of humour for a while now, and it’s great to see him continually producing amazing work.
Also at Shiggy.com.au is a new Image o’ the Week:
I drew this last year for my lady friend Lucy. I might make something else in this faux “cut-out” style. It was fun.
Anyway, I’m gonna go enjoy some more of these Melbourne weathers. Seeing “District 9″ tonight. I’m a big fan of Neill Blomkamp’s short films. I highly recommend Alive in Joburg, which served as inspiration for his feature debut.
Later!
